Thai Pod, Forest Row - 9th February, 2012

Present

Messrs. Hill, Rivera, Bourke, Wilkes, Campbell-Lloyd, Morgan, Ennis + 2 guests. Apologies from Mr. Taylor.

Score

5 (for food), 10 (for experience)

Highlights

Service was excellent - mainly because the team picked it up and delivered it, and we never went short of beer. Facilities were more than adequate with ensuite kitchen and lambing baaaaaa-rn. Most excellent tractor calendar, Miss February sporting a fine set of pipes and a cheeky little red number. A good basic Thai Yellow/Green curry and good value for money. Learnt how to open a bottle of beer with another bottle of bear, fine until you get to the last one.....

Lowlights

Some demands for more chilli in the noodles. Snow. Wasn't allowed to check out Miss March.

Next Meeting

Thursday, 22nd March, Venue TBD.

Kirthon, Tunbridge Wells - 15 December, 2011

Present

Messrs. Taylor, Hill, Rivera, Bourke, Wilkes, & Campbell-Lloyd

Score

7

Highlights

Enthusiastic waiter, new Bangladeshi Indian beer, good quality tucker for most. Good value for money. Smallest nightclub in universe.

Lowlights

Annoying Bhangra TV, too many stairs to toilet and no paper in toilet. Incredible Pantile arse cleavage manfully displayed in pub. Could not understand waiter and multiple beer requests ignored.

Next Meeting

1st Thurs in February. Location suggestions: Newick, ThaiPod van, Thai lounge.

Birothi - Crowborough - 28 October, 2011

Present

Messrs. Taylor, Hill, Rivera, Bourke, Wilkes, Ghullam, & Pretorius

Score

7.8

Highlights

Very good food, with new and interesting dishes on the menu. Reasonably priced. Top notch pub to start, a purist ale establishment. Great to have fresh blood at the table. Major solutions to all world crises provided, - if only we could remember them. Also, four chaps in a small space!

Lowlights

Difficult to find. Poor decor. Long waits for service really impacted the score. Interdimensional portal in loo window (rarely good).

Highlights

New member, with new experience of an Australian banana curry. Straight forward menu enabling swifter curry selection. Good food.

Lowlights

Dodgy builders conference in Rose & Crown. Ian's blue experience in gents of aforementioned establishment. Overt milk shake drinking.

Key Points

The name of our esteemed group is The Gentleman's Curry Club (GCC). We will do home curry nights, first volunteer is Alex supported by Grant.

Highlights

Excellent food, new members galore, great selection of beer. New and innovative approach for future weeks.

Lowlights

Indigestible menu, lack of false boobs (but got a flash of thigh), Grant needed more spice despite hot flush from thigh flashing. Tikka Chunder Massala in gents not pleasant.

Next Meeting

Home cooked curry chez Alex sometime in early August.
